What makes modal different from regular jersey?
Modal is a semi-synthetic fibre made from beech tree pulp — it's significantly softer than standard polyester, has a slight silky sheen, and breathes considerably better. The 43% modal content in this blend is what gives the Robyn Set its drape and its feel-against-skin quality. It's also less prone to pilling than cotton jersey, which means it holds up better over time.
Why no fabric softener?
Fabric softener coats modal fibres and gradually reduces their breathability and their softness — the opposite of what it's supposed to do. Cold wash, gentle cycle, lay flat to dry is the right care for this fabric and it'll stay feeling as good as new considerably longer.
Lounge set or daywear?
Both. The rolled collar and straight pant read as polished enough for errands, casual meetings, or a coffee date. The modal blend and relaxed fit make it comfortable enough to wear all day at home.
