Nightshirt vs. the two-piece sets in this print?
Nightshirt if you prefer the simplicity of a single piece — nothing to adjust, nothing to bunch at the waist, easier to get in and out of quickly. Two-piece if you prefer defined top and bottom. The Tee/Jogger ($160) is for cooler nights, the Tee/Short ($150) for warmer ones. All three in Chic Puppies at Cloud Nine.
Long sleeves in bamboo — will I overheat?
Less likely than with cotton. Bamboo moves moisture away from skin rather than holding it, so long sleeves feel lighter than they read. That said, if you run very warm, the Tee/Short version of this print has short sleeves and shorts for maximum airflow.
Good gift for a dog person?
