What does the zinc oxide liner actually do?
Zinc oxide is a naturally occurring antimicrobial mineral — blended into the Lyocell liner at pharmaceutical grade, it inhibits the growth of odour-causing bacteria and keeps the gusset area fresher longer. It's not a coating or a treatment that washes out — it's knit into the fibre itself, so it performs wash after wash. The zinc oxide is the reason HUHA's liner performs differently from a standard cotton gusset.
What does TENCEL Modal feel like?
Exceptionally soft — TENCEL Modal is derived from beech tree wood pulp using a closed-loop production process that recovers and reuses solvents. The resulting fibre is silkier than cotton, more breathable than synthetic fabrics, and naturally temperature-regulating. The single-layer construction means nothing is doubled up or bulky — just very soft fabric doing its job.
Can I wear this if I'm sensitive to synthetic fabrics?
TENCEL Modal and TENCEL Lyocell are both plant-derived natural fibres — not synthetic. The 10% spandex in the body and 2% in the liner are the only synthetic content. If you have a zinc oxide sensitivity or allergy, these are not suitable — the zinc is blended into the liner permanently.
