Q: How does this tee fit — is it true to size or should I size up?
The Bob's Short Sleeve Sleep Tee has a relaxed, classic crew neck fit — true to size for a comfortable, non-boxy feel. Our male model Joel is 6'1" and 185 lbs and wears a medium. If you prefer a looser, sleep-ready fit, size up once. If you're between sizes, we recommend going up.
Q: What is this tee actually made from?
95% viscose from bamboo and 5% spandex. The bamboo viscose is what makes it feel different from a regular cotton tee — it's smooth against the skin, naturally moisture-wicking, and temperature-regulating. The small amount of spandex gives it enough stretch that it moves with you rather than riding up or pulling at the shoulders.
Q: Will this help with night sweats?
It genuinely will. Bamboo viscose is one of the best fabrics available for managing heat and moisture — it draws sweat away from your skin and releases it into the air rather than letting it sit. It won't eliminate night sweats, but most customers notice a meaningful difference compared to cotton. If you run warm, this is the right fabric.
Q: Can I wear this as a regular daytime tee or is it only for sleep?
Both. The clean crew neck and sophisticated colourway (especially Denim Blue, Olive Forest, and Charcoal) make it perfectly at home on a coffee run, at the cottage, or working from home. It's designed as sleepwear, but it lives well outside the bedroom too.
Q: Women: can I wear this as an oversized sleep shirt?
Yes — and you wouldn't be alone. This tee has become a favourite among women who wear it sized up as an oversized sleep shirt. The lightweight fabric doesn't trap heat, the crew neck stays in place, and the length typically covers the bum in most frames when sized up once or twice. Our female model Robyn is 5'3" with a 39" bust and wears a small. Size up from your usual women's size for the oversized look.
Q: How do I wash it without wrecking it?
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and tumble dry low — or hang to dry for the longest life. Avoid bleach and high heat. The bamboo fabric softens further with every wash when you treat it right.
Q: Does it wrinkle or pill?
It's naturally wrinkle-resistant — no ironing required. As for pilling, bamboo viscose is less prone to it than cotton when cared for correctly. Washing on cold and gentle significantly extends the life and feel of the fabric.
