What is toile de Jouy?
Toile de Jouy is a French textile tradition dating to the 18th century — a single-colour scenic print on a light ground, typically depicting pastoral or nature scenes in fine detail. The Midnight Forest Toile takes that format and fills it with a winter scene: evergreen trees and deer in teal on ivory. It reads as classic and considered rather than novelty, which is why it works year-round without being specifically seasonal.
How does this compare to the Bamboo Plaid Button-Up Set?
Same silhouette — notch collar, button-front, piped details, straight-leg full-length pants. Different print and piping colour. The Plaid set has black piping and a heritage tartan print; the Toile has white piping and the forest toile print. Both are the same bamboo construction and the same fit. Is the toile print two-colour or more complex?
