Charleston & Harlow notes that most people are magnesium deficient and that every cell in the body needs magnesium. It's essential for bone, tooth, muscle and joint health as well as for optimal sleep and stress reduction. Many people have difficulty absorbing magnesium internally and find topical magnesium a more effective method.
The maker suggests using the spray on the chest for headaches, anxiety, depression and sleeplessness; on the abdomen for stomach issues and cramps; and directly on aches and pains throughout the body. Most people, they say, feel relief within 5 to 10 minutes.

Is it really unscented?
It has no added perfume. Magnesium chloride has a faint, seaside smell of its own, and the maker uses lavender and hibiscus petals to soften it, so it's very light overall. If you'd like a touch of scent, the Lavender and Pink Grapefruit are lightly scented.
Why does my skin tingle or itch?
That's normal, says the maker: it's caused by the magnesium being absorbed into the skin. Some people don't notice it at all. It usually fades within 10 to 15 minutes and improves the more you use the spray. If it bothers you, wait 15 to 20 minutes after spraying and wash the area with mild soap and water, which prevents the itch altogether.
When will I feel an improvement?
